Two panels, read left to right. The first carries language and an ordered field of color, its center still soft enough to move — the concepts a person might be made of. In the second the words are gone, taken up into the line down the middle, which has hardened from paint into a real bar of metal. The field around it has come apart into marks no longer governed. What changed, and why, is not answered — only that it did, and that the line through the center is still there.
