Three paths represent three paths in life a person can take, each going through phases (beginning, middle and end). Along the way, thick acrylic letters represent permanent obstacles, while temporary ones are simply smudges of charcoal on the routes. Only one reaches their intended destination; another settles for less, and the third almost reaches its goal only to see everything crash back downwards.
