What began as a direct response to Duchamp's Fountain widened into a broader question: how importance transfers across sports, academia, music, social media, and beyond, always seeming to trace back to someone who already had the power to grant it. The work encloses the artist's own private, mundane belongings — the ordinary residue of an actual life — beneath the same institutional authority that decides what matters and what doesn't.
